Milestones
The company Müller consequently became a leader in precision tool manufacturing since its foundation in April 1981. The following milestones show the history of Müller and some trend-setting decisions of this succesful company.
1981
Foundation of “Werkzeugschleiferei K.-H. Müller GbR” on 1st April 1981 by Karl-Heinz und Siglinde Müller. Back then, tools for woodworking were grinded by them and three employees
1983
Building of a new production plant at Sien where the company still is today.
1985
Extension of portfolio with grinding of tools for metal processing
1987
Completion of second production building
1991
First CNC grinding machine bought by Müller
1994
Certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001
2000
Increase of production area Foundation of “Müller Präzisionswerkzeuge GmbH” following the “K.-H. Müller GbR”.
2006
First time more than 300.000 cutting tools per year produced with a machine park of 14 CNC grinding machines and roughly 20 manual grinding machines
2007
Frowein & Co. Beteiligungs AG” buys “K.-H. Müller Präzisionswerkzeuge GmbH”
2011
Portfolio increase by investing into an in-house PVD coating centre
2012
The production area of 2.600 square meters houses now a production cell for new tools (investment 2 million €). Staff counts 60 people at this time in Sien.
2013
„K.-H. Müller Präzisionswerkzeuge GmbH“ buys „Toolexperte.de GmbH“ in Meßstetten (Baden-Württemberg)
2014
Production sites Sien und Meßstetten merge at current company site Sien. Competence centre for development and production is installed
2015
“Müller Präzisionswerkzeuge GmbH“ currently employs 80 highly qualified people at Sien in the development, production, service and sales of high performance solid carbide special tools.
